Sibyl Pendant

Feminine and romantic, Sibyl deserves to be right in the center of your neck stack. Her rock crystal center is a perfect window to peer into a different perspective of the world. Rock crystals are fascinating gems, as they can invert the environment when you peer through them. In the center is a pearl set with a star shape. This is secured from a mount that was created drilled from the back of the pendant. What’s unique is that the center drill point breaks up the magenta foil color. The way you view the pendant straight on vs the side are different intensity of color and rock crystal inversion.

Her chunky sized fringe spears bring some area of movement to an otherwise stately piece. The spears are consistent with the archaeological revival – which was all of the rage in the Victorian time frame! Turning it around is a surprise, a locket to keep your precious moments. Currently houses a light blue textile and a magenta-colored foil. Both the textile and foil are undetermined as original to the piece.

The Victorian era was steeped with deep meaning. The rope trefoil design can mean infinite love. The celestial star and the fringe to represent guidance and adventure.

There are some inclusions present in the rock crystal, nothing concerning or considered damaging to the gemstone. Gold tarnish present. Some scratching and some etching to the gold in the back – 15 was consistently utilized. The gold spears have holes in them – due to how the gold was formed and created. Some of the spears also have dings and some evidence of seams due to their hollow nature. One spear has a jump ring that is slightly more open, please note it is secure.
