Bowen Ring
Bowen Ring
A three stone classic ring with an enchanting vivid jade jadeite cabochon in the center flanked by two round cultured pearls. The jadeite is smaller in size, making the center into a pinched bow shape. The color contrast between the two precious gemstones really highlights each other.
There’s evidence that the pearls were formerly strung perhaps from a necklace. You can see one pearl has a clear drill from its former life. This was likely a commissioned ring. One can imagine that these precious materials had significant sentimental value for someone. This is an incredible piece of jade; the industry trade will classify this as Type A in an imperial jade color. It glows, which is an indicator of its high quality. I’ve taken this to Jessie English and under the microscope and Chelsea filter, there is no obvious indication that the jade has undergone any dyeing or bleach with polymer treatment. Please get in contact if you prefer the jade to be sent to GIA, it is an estimated additional $200 (report + round trip shipping).
