Why Swifties Should Look into Antique Jewelry

Why Swifties Should Look into Antique Jewelry

If you are a Taylor Swift fan, you should consider looking into antique jewelry. Here are 4 possible reasons!

1. No shortage of hidden meanings and representations. There are secret meanings and many motifs throughout the Victorian era.

For example. This Victorian Crescent Pendant has a lot of representations.

- Possibly a mourning pendant for three reasons. The use of rock crystal which is common in mourning jewelry. The color purple, which is typical used for transitioning out of mourning. The pearl center, they sometimes represent purity but also represents tears.

- The lover's knot at the top represents infinite love from past, present, and future.

- Adventure. The pearl is set into the shape of a star. It represents guidance and centering. There's also 22k gold spears dangling at the bottom. The excavations and ancient discoveries inspired bold gold jewelry designs and spears often time reflect them.

2. Highly expressive. There’s jewelry that represents both love, mourning, and even a combination of both.

Example. This double moonstone heart representing supreme love.

Queen Victoria heavily inspired all of the jewelry and fashion trends. She was deeply in love with Prince Albert and as a result, lots of heart and romantic jewelry items were in vogue. When he sadly passed in 1861, Queen Victoria went into a deep mourning for several decades and so followed her people.

3. Addicting to collect. There’s a group of us antique collectors that would gladly welcome another fanatic.

We are a tight knit community that look after each other. A lot of us share our items in addition to our knowledge and experience.

4. Taylor Swift is a huge fan of nostalgia and an antique collector herself. She recently had a sweet nod to the 1920s with the Clara Bow track.

Taylor Swift has always dressed fashionably in retro and vintage styling. Her songs are always respectful to the bygone eras. I name this ring, Clara Bow, after her latest song in The Tortured Poets Department.
